Rouen Cathedral
Rouen is the capital city of Haute-Normandie in north-western France. It was once one of the largest medieval cities in Europe.

Rouen has its well-known Notre-Dame de Rouen, of which greatest impressionist Claude Monet had made his master-pieces.

Vieux Marché
Rouen is also known for its Vieux Marché, where Jeanne d'Arc had been executed.

Gros Horloge
On the way from Rouen Cathedral to the Vieux Marché, there's a famous astronomical clock, which could be dated back to 16th century.

In Rouen, Normandie styled houses could be easily found, with their standing-out wooden structures, painted in different colors, however in good harmony.

Ever Seen Beautiful Sky like these?

Montmartre, Paris

La Siene, Paris
La Siene, Paris
from Montmartre, Paris

I must confess that I like blue sky much. However, with a little touch of red, pink, orange or yellow of sunset, the color of the sky becomes amazingly beautiful!  Not colors the sky, but the sunset also paints up buildings! The color, the light, the reflection... look like beautiful impressionist paintings.

While the other Nieuwe Kerk (New Church), with typical Gothic look, standing face-to-face with the City Hall, was built later in 1584, where buried the William of Orange and the royal family members afterwards.

Île-d'Aix
"Wild and free I could feel the sun..."
You know how beautiful when horse runs in a wild open field!? Luckily I had the chance to see it on the Île-d'Aix, the little island in Atlantic Ocean, when we lost our direction and walked into a field horses. Those horses walked to us and run away with their grace.

Mont Saint-Michel

Mont Saint-Michel is the island isolated by the muddy land, where soaked up with sea water when the tides go up. Horse are used to cross this field and to reach to the other island near by.

From Jan 31st, 2014 starts the Chinese new year of Horse. Horse is the animal who runs fast and freely. It is a symbol of Travelling, competition and victory.

So, best wishes for everyone of you have a wonderful year of Horse! May all your wishes come true!
